SUPERIOR FEATURES OF TRIO TEC CAST RESIN TRANSFORMERS
- Low loss, low maintenance cost
- Space saving compact design
- Superior short circuit strength
- Long life expectancy
- Fire resistance and self – extinguishing
- Easy installation and connection
- Free from partial discharge
- Moisture proof
- Smooth surfaces of the moulded HV & LV coils minimize the accumulation of air dust and improve effective cooling
- Higher output can be achieved with integrally arranged forced cooling arrangement
- The HV & LV coils are supported on the top and bottom with epoxy blocks cushioned with resilient parts to permit expansion and contraction
CORES
- The cores used are manufactured from high quality, low loss, grain oriented cold rolled silicon steel sheets, which are all finished according to slitting and length cutting lines by auto numerical control cutting machines
- The choice and the grade and the cutting pattern and the method of assembly minimized the loss level and the no-load current with the effect of very low noise level
- Core surfaces are sealed with insulating resin to prevent from moisture and corrosion
HV COILS
- DISC winding is used for HV coils
- H.V. windings are made of double enameled class F copper conductors with DuPont make NOMEX paper as inter layer insulation
- The HV discs are vacuum pressure impregnated with epoxy resin before casting which provides very low partial discharge and avoid ageing
LV COILS
- LV windings are made of fiberglass insulated copper strip of various size confirming to class H insulation
- The wound coil is casted with filled epoxy resin and polymerized in an oven, to withstand safely the electrodynamic forces present in a short circuit
TESTING OF TRANSFORMERS
A particular attention is always given to the testing of the transformer, which is done as per IEC 60076-11 standard
ROUTINE TEST
- Measurement of winding resistance
- Measurement of voltage ratio
- Measurement of short circuit impedance
- Measurement of load losses
- Measurement of no load loss and current
- Insulation measurement
- Double volt double frequency (DVDF) test
